Jesup – James Byron Robertson, 92, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Harborview Health in Jesup and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Born in Gainesville, FL, he lived in Wayne County since 1987. He was a retired salesman, and a veteran stationed in Germany during the Korean War. A Baptist by faith, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Robertson, mother and stepfather, Frances Johnson and Carl Johnson, brother, Leif Johnson, and son-in-law, Douglas Renfroe.
Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Nancy Robertson of Jesup; children, Frank Robertson (Terri) of Jesup, David Robertson of Marietta, Sheryl Renfroe of Raymond, MS, and Steven Robertson (Lindy) of Marietta; sisters, Fay Ann Snyder (John) of Sanibel Island, FL, and Clara Huene of Wilmington, NC; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, November 1 at 11 AM at Howard Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Barron officiating. Private burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 10-11 AM prior to the services.
