Gum Branch – James Clayton “Bugger” Miness, 61, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Ludowici, GA, and resided in Gum Branch on the Miness family farm. The farm was his favorite place to spend time with family and friends. He adored his grandchildren and made sure they knew it by showing them love the “outlaw” way. He was passionate about farming just like his daddy. There was no one that could make boiled peanuts like him. When he wasn’t home working with vegetables, or riding on the tractor, and he spent his time on the road driving in his truck, but there was nothing like a fast car to him. He loved his other mother, Sarah, and his favorite “Uncle Jack”. There was nothing more important than family and traditions. He attended the Church of God and was preceded in death by his father, Pugg Miness, and siblings, Brenda Miness, Travis Miness, and Sam Miness.
Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina and Jack Hayden of Gum Branch, Cori Miness of Gainesville, FL, Shaye and Axel Lara of N. Charleston, SC; son, Bobby Miness of Gum Branch; mother, Velma Miness (Dale Rozier) of Gum Branch; grandchildren, Dylan, Kaelynn, Luke, Tristyn, Clayton, and Little Ricky; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
