Herman Oglesbee

Ludowici – Herman Elmore Oglesbee, 74, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at his home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.  Born in Statesboro, he lived in Long County most of his life.  He was a retired painter and construction worker and attended the Church of God.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Oglesbee, and siblings, George Oglesbee, Johnnie Gray, Wilton Oglesbee, Leatha Woods, Rondale Oglesbee, Lloyd Oglesbee, and Marilyn Silva.

Survivors are his daughters, Charlotte Harrison of Jesup and Sharon Keithley (Melvin) of Odum; son, Herman Oglesbee, Jr. of Ludowici; sister, Donnie Futch of Ridgeland, SC; grandchildren, Tyler Hiers, Michael Bunch, and Victoria Keithley; great-grandchildren, Kari, Luna, and Blislyn Hiers; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Monday, June 27 at 11 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery in Jesup with Rev. Byron Powers officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
