Grady Doster

Stone Mountain - Grady C. Doster, 82, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.  Born in Sandersville, he was raised in Hinesville where he graduated from Bradwell Institute, class of 1958, where he was also voted “Cutest” in his class.  He joined the US Army where he served in Europe, after which he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southwestern, later earning a master’s degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta.  He was an instructor and educator for thirty years at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf.  Over the course of his life, he traveled extensively, visiting almost ninety different countries.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Ela Doster, and siblings, Hazel Jackson, E. J. Doster, Jr., Mary Cook, and Fred Doster.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25 at 10 AM at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gabe Gill officiating.  Burial will follow in Hinesville Cemetery.
