Gloria Young

Ludowici – Gloria Joyce Young, 75, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Hospice Savannah.  Born in Davenport, IA, she grew up in Jackson, MS, and lived in Long County for the past 10 years.  She worked as an administrative assistant and was a homemaker.  A woman of small stature, she was fearless and stood by her faith until the end.  Although not rich in possessions, she glowed in her love.  She enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, South Walthourville Congregation.  Her husband, Hugh Lester Young, and son, Rannie Young, preceded her in death.

Survivors are her sons, Paul Young (Katia) of Asheville, NC, Enoch Young (Petra) of Ludowici, and Jacob Young of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Audi Dodson (Monty) of Brandon, MS, and Phyllis Bollinger (David) of Clemons, NC; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, September 14 at 2 PM at New Home Cemetery in Flemington.
