Glenn D. Knight

Ludowici – Glenn D. Knight, 81, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at University Hospital in Augusta.  He was born in Screven and had lived in Long County since 1977.  He retired as a crew leader from Interstate Paper with 36 years of service.  Glenn was a US Army veteran and an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Men’s Sunday school class.  He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Knight.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Elaine Drury Knight of Ludowici and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 7 at 1 PM at Gum Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Gabe Gill officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, February 6 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Joey Thornton, Nicky Anderson, Cliff Drury, Junior Drury, Tony Drury, Anthony Drury, and Thomas Drury.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adults Men’s class of Gum Branch Baptist Church.
