George Thomas

Crescent – George Daniel Thomas, 84, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at his residence.  The McIntosh County native was born November 13, 1937, to Leonard Hayden and Bessie Mae Hope Thomas of Crescent.  He was a commercial fisherman, an avid outdoorsman, and a veteran of the US Navy.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Williams Thomas, and siblings, Charles Thomas, Marion Thomas, Harry Thomas, Alma Ruth Jackson, and Margie Thomas.

Survivors are his children, Danny Thomas (Hannah) of Crescent, Billie Jo Spratlin (Scott) of Graham, AL, John Thomas (Misty), Adam Thomas, and Jeannie Thomas, all of Crescent; two step-children, Jonathan Rozier of Townsend and Jessica Cox (Howard) of Brunswick; siblings, Virginia McNair of Dublin, Maryanne Varnadore and Raymond Thomas of Brantley County, Robert Thomas of Crescent, and Louise Scheer (Richard) of Keystone Heights, FL; grandchildren, Chayce, Dustin, Blake, Misty, Heather, Brad, Whitney, Justin, Ashley, Devin, Marshall, McKenzie, Kaneal, and Preston; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 12, at 3 PM on Creighton Island.
