Ludowici – Frank L. Parker, Sr., 83, died Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. Born in Miami, FL, he lived in Long County since 1976. He served as a marine, retired from the US Army and from MATES at Ft. Stewart. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici and preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emily Hart Parker, siblings, Charles Parker (Charlene), Charlotte Bacon (Glenn), and David Parker, and brother-in-law, Edward Pitts.
Survivors are his wife of sixty years, Evelyn Parker of Ludowici; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Robert Hahn of Ludowici; son, Frank Parker, Jr. (Crystal) of Ludowici; sister, Dorcas Pitts of Ludowici; brothers and sister-in-law, Freddy Parker of Port Orchard, WA, Joe and BeBee Parker of Bland, VA; sister-in-law, Margaret Parker of Ludowici; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27 at 4 PM at Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici with Rev. Terry Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Baggs Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Greg Bacon, David Parker, Tristen Pitts, Jacob Pitts, Charlie Smith, an Andy Maynard.
