Frances Chambless Obituary

Ludowici – Frances F. Chambless, 82, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Coastal Manor in Ludowici. She was a native and lifelong resident of Long County, a former Communications Officer for the Ludowici Police Department, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, V.R. “Sonny” Chambless.

Survivors are her daughters, Sheila Long of Ludowici, Gerri Rawls and Sonya Stone of Statesboro; sons, Royce Chambless and Ricky Chambless of Ludowici and Ben Chambless of Savannah; a sister, Lucy Sikes of Glennville; a brother, Edd Futch of Ludowici; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Sunday, September 23 at 2 PM at Jones Creek Cemetery with Bro. David Simmons officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 22 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
