Hortense – Donald M. “Donnie” Gandy, 56, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Savannah. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he lived in Brantley County for the past 27 years where he worked as a mechanic before his health declined. Donnie had an appreciation of old cars, old movies, and “dad” jokes! He was a member of Pentecostals of Brunswick Church and was preceded in death by his parents, James and Courtney Gandy, and sister-in-law, Janice Gandy.
Survivors are his wife, Tina Stutts Gandy of Hortense; daughters, Shelina Rogers (James) and Kaitlyn Gandy of Brunswick; sons, Frank Gandy (Pam) and Aaron Gandy (Angel), of Brunswick; brothers, Robert L. Gandy, Jim Gandy (Iris) of Hortense, and Ronnie Gandy (Becky) of Mandarin, FL; 8 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 22, at 2 PM at Pentecostals of Brunswick Church with Rev. Danny Webster officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Ray Sarrow, Ray Visconti, Brandon Bagley, Chris Gandy, James Rogers, and Aaron Gandy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Gandy, Greg Miller, Phil Hendley, Curt Stutts, Shane Stutts, and Will Morris.
