Ludowici – Donald Anglin, Jr., 68, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at liberty Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Hamilton, Bermuda, he lived and traveled throughout the world during his military career, settling in Long County three years ago. A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the 1st Pathfinder Detachment, 5th Special Forces Group, 3rd ID Pathfinder Detachment, NCOIC. During his service he achieved Nation Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Parachutist Medal and Good Conduct Medal awards. He received his Doctor of Divinity, Doctor of Biblical Studies, and Doctor of Theology, was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, team member of Team Flag Raiders (paintball). He focused on the good in others, giving unselfishly. He participated in Baptist Association relief efforts aiding victims of disaster. He was a commercial electrician and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Long County.
Survivors are his wife, Rhonda Anglin of Ludowici; daughters, Shannon Anglin of Gulfport, MS, Ashley Anglin of Billings, MT, and Courtney Anglin of Ludowici; son, Michael Anglin of Pearl River, LA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Ronnie Strickland of Lake Mary, FL, Donna and Rick Wagnor of Deltona, FL, and Kelly Governalle of Eustis, FL; brothers, Bruce Anglin of Midway, Mark Anglin of Ludowici, Scott Anglin of San Antonio, TX, and Gregory Anglin of Orange City, FL; grandchildren, Brittany, Victoria, Alexis, Kristen, Kamiya, Koby and Karson; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held later and announced by the funeral home.
