Dedra (Hope) Iler

Townsend – Dedra Marie Iler, 62, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, in Brunswick.  Born in Atlanta, she lived at Belle Bluff most of her life.  She was a homemaker and, for several years, was a paraprofessional with the McIntosh County Schools.  She enjoyed cooking, artwork and crafts, and fishing at the coast.  She volunteered with the food bank at Morgans Chapel Church and was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Iler, and siblings, Alton Hope, Joyce Hope, Mike Hope, Lynn Hope, and Ralph Hope.

Survivors are her son, Jack Iler of Townsend; brother, Henderson Hope (Juliane) of Townsend; 6 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 23, at 11 AM at Morgans Chapel Church.  The family will receive visitors at the church.
