David Neal Winkles

61, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his residence.  Born in Alexandria, VA., he lived all over the U.S. while his father was in the military.  He moved to Hinesville in 1975 and has made it his home ever since.  He was in the U.S. Navy for three years.  He enjoyed leather working and could fix any and everything!  He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Winkles, and a stepson, Ryan Arrington. 

Survivors are his daughter and companion of 11 years, Erica Winkles, and Carlos Pinto of Hinesville; sons, David Winkles, Jr. of Bloomingdale, and James Arrington of Bloomingdale; mother, Anita Winkles of Richmond Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Mary Winkles of Fleming, and Paul and Melissa Winkles of Guyton; grandchildren, Ella Pinto, Carter Winkles, and Ryker Arrington; several nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, November 19 at the Gum Branch Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M.  Bro. Gabe Gill will be officiating.
