David Avery

Ludowici – David Raymond Avery, 63, died Friday, October 22, 2021, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.  Born in Springville, NY, he lived in Long County the past twenty-five years and was a mechanic at New Beginning Automotive before working at Goode Custom, both in Ludowici.  He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard and retired from the US Army.  He was a loving father and grandfather and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici.

Survivors are his daughter, Jenna Avery of Long Island, NY; sons and daughters-in-law, Chance and Jennifer Avery of Ontario, Canada, James Avery of Delevan, NY, Nick and Angela Avery and Erik Avery of Ludowici; mother, Marilyn Boser of Springville, NY; sister, Martha Wittman of West Valley, NY; brothers, Andy Avery and Mark Avery of Springville, NY; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 31 at 3 PM at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Sellers officiating. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial will follow in Baggs Cemetery.
