69, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2025, at his residence. Bruce was born in Brunswick but lived in Townsend his whole life. He enjoyed being a shrimper before retirement and liked to tinker with different things. He was preceded in death by his parents, Livingston Calhoun Townsend, Sr. and Ruthlyn McIntosh Townsend, and a brother, Cal Livingston, Jr. He was a member of South Newport Baptist Church in Townsend.
Survivors are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna Ginn (Robert) of Townsend, and Rene Jacobs (Travis) of Nahunta; Nephews, Brian Ginn (Fain) of St. Simons Island, and Joey Saunds (Kibrie) of Nahunta; Niece, Ruthie Wesley (Will) of East Palatka, FL; Uncle and Aunt, D.L. McIntosh (MaryAnn) of Shellman Bluff; several great nieces, nephews, cousins, and a companion, Beverly Young of Townsend.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, February 1 at 2:30 PM. A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior at Davis Cemetery in McIntosh County. Bro. Danny Stilwell will be officiating.
