Bruce Wayne Hyers

Jesup – Bruce Wayne Hyers, 65, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Jesup under the care of his family and Heartland Hospice.  Born in Alma he had lived in Wayne County most of his life and was retired as a butcher from Winn-Dixie.  He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Lera S. Hyers, parents, George, Jr. and Marie Hyers, and sister, Tammy Hyers.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Christina Hyers, Scotty and Kimberly Hyers, and Derek Hyers, all of Jesup; sisters, Willoria Carter of Baxley and Jana Hyers of Alma; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Cheryl Hyers of Alma; grandchildren, Joel Lott, Ben Lott, Addison Hyers, Grayson Hyers, and Emery Hyers; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 5 at 2 PM in the Howard Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Josh May officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.
