Bridget (Douglas) Hogan

Townsend – Bridget D. Hogan, 43, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her home after a sudden illness.  A lifelong resident of McIntosh County, she began her law enforcement career with the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department in 1996.  After working a few years with Darien Police Department, she returned to McIntosh S/O where she worked until the time of her death.  Bridget was devoted to her family, especially her boys, and enjoyed cooking for and looking after them.  She was devoted to her career and earned the respect of her peers as well as her community.  She was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Douglas.

Survivors are her husband, Michael Hogan; sons, Isaiah Hogan and Jameson Hogan; mother, Vicky Deal Douglas; sister, Tina Douglas, all of Townsend; paternal grandmother, Pearl Douglas of Cannon Bluff; several aunts and uncles along with her brotherhood of law enforcement family.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 5 at 2PM from the Darien Church of God with Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Andrews Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 4 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be the GSP Honor Guard and all public safety personnel in attendance.
