Ludowici – Brenda Kay Truman, 62, died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Memorial Health in Savannah. She was born in Savannah and lived most of her life in Long County. She worked as a dispatcher for the Ludowici Police Department until her health began to fail. Brenda Kay was a sweet soul who never used the word no to any request. She loved her family and friends deeply. She was a member of First Baptist Ludowici and was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Truman, father, Sammy Stapleton, Sr., brothers, Dennis Stapleton and Jerry Stapleton, and nephew, Dennis Schroeder.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Suzann Sauls of Fleming; mother, Marjorie Stapleton of Ludowici; sisters and brother-in-law, Tammy and Neil Schroeder of Ludowici and Holly Ricks of Collins; brother, Sammy Stapleton, Jr. of North Carolina; grandchildren, Robbie and Hunter and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Hudson; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 2 at 2 PM at Baggs Cemetery with Rev. Andy Pusser officiating.
Family will receive friends at the cemetery.
