Townsend – Brenda Ryals Mobbs, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, under the care of her family and Hospice of the Golden Isles. She was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County, a retired teller from Southeastern Bank in Darien, and a homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts, singing at church and at special events, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Eulonia Church of God of Prophecy and was preceded in death by her mother, Roslyne Rozier and her father, J. L. Ryals.
Survivors are her husband, Danny Mobbs of Townsend; daughter, Darlene Thomas of Townsend; son and daughter-in-law, Steve Davis and Hailey of Brunswick; step-son, Joey Mobbs and wife, Angie, of Townsend; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ila King and Robbie of Brunswick, Lafae Evans and Ricky of Kingsland; brother and sister-in-law, John Ryals and Angie of Townsend; step parents, Nellie Ryals of Townsend and Bill Rozier of Darien; grandchildren, Mikey Thomas, Dalton Davis, and Emily Davis; one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3 at 11 AM at Townsend Church of God with Rev. Danny Stilwell and Rev. Jason Ryals officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery in Long County.
Visitation will be Friday, December 2 from 5-7 PM at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Ryals, John King, Joshua Ryals, Roy Ryals, Ray Ryals, and Daniel Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Ryals, Terry Ryals, David Ryals, Jeffrey Davis, Chad Davis, Gary Ryals, and Jerry Ryals.
