Brenda (Smiley) Miltiades

Ludowici – Brenda Kaye Miltiades, 52, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, in Bulloch County.  Born in Hinesville, she lived in Savannah and Long County for many years, and in Bulloch County for the past 15 years.  She worked in Home Health Care for many years before her health failed.  She was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rangel, and sister, Robin Smiley Shuptrine.

Survivors are her daughters, Nikki Jackson of Coleridge, NC, and Kayla Miltiades Loya (Josh) of Savannah; father, Hugh Smiley (Carol) of Ludowici; sister, Mylinda Heath of Hinesville; brothers, John Smiley (Elizabeth) and Phillip Smiley of Ludowici; several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20 at 11 AM at Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in Poplar Head Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM at the chapel.

Active pallbearers will be David Smiley, John Smiley, Phillip Smiley, Nick Miltiades, Fred Noles, and Steve Shuptrine.
