Gum Branch – Brad Lafayette Mueller, 51, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Memorial Health in Savannah. Born in MD, he had lived in Liberty County the past forty-five years. He had previously worked for OMI in Hinesville before opening his own lawn care service. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and had been a recreation league coach. He was a 1987 graduate of Bradwell Institute where he played football, baseball, and golf. He was a loving father and grandfather and a member of Hinesville First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Caleb Wells of Gum Branch; son, Brad Mueller, Jr. of Hinesville; parents, Roy and June Mueller of Hinesville; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Sheryl Mueller of Clearwater, FL; companion, Georgiann Hall of Hinesville; former wife, Katie Mueller of Ludowici; two grandsons, whom he loved “to the moon and back’, Remington Wells and Ryan Wells; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 4 at 2 PM at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Clenton “Pee Wee” Wells, Jason Smiley, Jeff Bishop, Jason Bess, Mark Hewitt, and Jeff Hewitt.
