Barbara (Howard) Thomas

Townsend – Barbara Denise Thomas, 49, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, under the care of her family and Coastal Hospice.  She was a lifelong resident of McIntosh County and a homemaker.  She loved her family and spending time outdoors.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Thomas, father, Cornel Howard, and siblings, Tammy Hewitt and Tony Howard.

Survivors are her daughters, Destiny Thorpe (Harold) of Townsend and Vivian Howard of Hazlehurst; mother, Marjorie Bryant of Townsend; sisters, Karen Hendrix (Carl) of Darien, Pamela Grisssino (Mike), Ruth Mitchell (Steve), and Frieda Howard, all of Townsend; brothers, Skippy Howard (Frieda) of Darien, Ricky Howard and Michael Howard of Townsend; grandchildren, Lillie, Bryson, and King; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held later.
