Art Groover

Ludowici – Artis T. “Art” Groover, 59, passed away Wednesday evening, April 22, 2020 at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville after a sudden illness.  Born in Jesup he had lived in Liberty and Long Counties all his life.  He was trained and worked as a brick mason all his adult life taking great pride in his work.  He enjoyed time spent outdoors, especially planting and tending his garden, the proceeds he gladly shared with family and friends. He was a Southern Baptist by faith and preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Judy Theus Groover and brother, Tal Groover.

Survivors are his wife, Mia Groover of Ludowici; sons, Tyler Groover and Andrew Groover of Ludowici; aunts and uncles, Pam and John Jordan, Sybil Theus, Miles and Carlene Groover, and Connie and Dupree Groover; several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins.

Memorial services will be at a later date and announced by the funeral home.
