Annette (Lee) Abbey

Ludowici – Patricia Annette Abbey, 86, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at her home under the care of her family and GHC Hospice.  Born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, she lived in Long County the past forty years.  While in FL she was a realtor for several years.  After relocating to the family property in Long County she, along with her husband, owned and operated Colonial Floral and Bridal in Hinesville before building and operating Celebration Castle on Elim Road in 2008.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lamar Lee and Dale Lee, and granddaughter, Chelsea Price, and was a member of Elim Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband of forty-five years, Charles Abbey of Ludowici; daughter, Angela DeGrove (James) of Gainesville, FL; sons, Troy Curtis, of Palm Coast, FL, Jay Curtis of Deltona, FL, and Chip Grimes of Wabasso, FL; sister, Joanne Wenger of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Charles’s children, Laura Bater (Rick) and Jeffery Abbey (Christina); eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, (the latest, Annette, being named for her); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 25 at 11 AM at Elim Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Howard officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church Tuesday evening beginning at 6 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Troy Curtis, Jr., Tyler Curtis, Andy Curtis, Josh DeGrove, Troy Curtis, III, and Jay Curtis.
