Ludowici – Alan Joseph Engler, 60, died Friday, February 25, 2022, at his home under the care of his family and GHC Hospice. Born in Lorain, OH, he lived in Long County for forty years. He received his bachelor’s degree and was a radiographer at Liberty Regional Medical Center for twenty-one years after working in security and construction. Alan was a US Army veteran and of the Catholic faith.
Survivors are his wife, Traci Gordon Engler of Ludowici; daughters, Courtney Engler of Mukilteo, WA, and Summer Engler of Ludowici; sisters, Karen, Debbie, and Constance, all of OH; brothers, Tommy and Robert both of OH; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 1 at 10 AM from Concord Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, February 28 from 6-8 PM at Howard Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Bottella, Marty Nazario, Bob Lowry, Justin Way, Joshua Gordon, and Neil Johnson.
