78, of Ludowici, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his Long County home on Monday, November 24, 2025. Born in Wayne County in 1947, Aaron was a 1965 graduate of Ludowici High School and later graduated from South Georgia Technical College, obtaining a degree in Electrical Technology. He served his community in his careers, first at Coastal Utilities and later as a civilian employee at Fort Stewart.
In his younger years, Aaron found joy in farming and spent countless hours in his shop, where his creativity and craftsmanship knew no bounds, with the ability to build or to fix just about anything he imagined. He cherished time spent with family and friends and loved going out to dinner, always appreciating the simple pleasures of life.
Aaron was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He loved the Lord with his whole heart and lived a life marked by quiet strength and unwavering faith.
He is survived by Linda Fowler Hutcheson, his loving wife of 55 years; his daughter, Carmen Lumpkin (Bryan); and two precious, beloved grandchildren, Olivia and Harrison Lumpkin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Clyde Hutcheson.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Gum Branch Baptist Church in Hinesville, GA, where he was a member for over 58 years. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 28, at 10 AM, with the funeral service following at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Gum Branch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wilkins, Matt Wilkins, Phillip Davis, Randy Williams, Robbie Murray, and Gene Benson. Honorary pallbearers are the Ludowici High School Class of 1965, along with the Adult 5 Sunday School Class and Deacons from Gum Branch Baptist Church.
