Thomas S. Drenon, Jr.

Jesup – Thomas Sim Drenon, Jr., 78, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at Jesup Healthcare under the care of his family and Georgia Hospice Care.  A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, he retired as a crew leader from Interstate Paper in Riceboro with 35 years of service.  He had farmed and was an Atlanta Braves fan.  He was a member and deacon of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Lana Horne Drenon of Jesup; daughters and sons-in-law, Teri and Mike Moody of Hinesville and Jan and Warren Wohlgemuth of Jesup; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas, III and Julianne Drenon of Nashville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Jon Ann and Bob McCrary of Jesup; grandchildren, Jessica and husband Steven, Levi and wife Krystal, Dylan and wife Carlie, and Chas; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Waylan, Hampton, and Hadley; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 1 at 11 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Dennie Waters and Mike Moody officiating.  Burial will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
