Townsend – Theodore Turner, Sr., 76, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 in Millen. He was born in Valdosta and lived in Townsend most of his life. He was a retired painter and was known for his musical talents and abilities. He also had an appreciation for classic cars, hunting, fishing, and golf. He was a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife, Pat Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Lavender of Brunswick; son and daughter-in-law, Ted, Jr. and Aneta Turner of Millen; sister and brother-in-law, Eunice and Rev. Fred Griffis of Jesup; three grandsons, Ted, III, Kyle, and Daniel; step-granddaughter, Jessica; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, June 24 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 25 at 11 AM at Howard Funeral Home with Dr. Jamie Archer and Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Eulonia.
Active pallbearers will be Theodore Turner, Jr., Theodore Turner, III, Kyle Turner, Daniel M. Howe, Daniel T. Howe, and Paul Rowe.
