Melvin Wells Obituary

Hinesville – Melvin Elbert Wells, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Liberty Regional Medical Center.  Born in Long County he had lived in Liberty County for 51 years.  He was a US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War and retired from Interstate Paper with 40 years of service.  He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  His siblings, Carrie Mae Wells, Cecil Wells, and Lloyd Wells preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Delia R. Wells of Hinesville; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Katelyn Wells of Ludowici; sisters, Hazel Stafford and Dale Long of Ludowici and Deleita Ray of Hinesville; brothers, Richard Wells of Ludowici and Edward Wells of Hinesville; grandchildren, Madison, Robert and Logan; great-grandson, Dominic; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5 from 6-8 PM at the church.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 6 at 1 PM at Trinity Baptist Church in Long County with Rev. Matthew Massey and Rev. Tim Parrish officiating.

Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5 from 6-8 PM at the church.
