Mayor James Fuller

Ludowici – James F. Fuller, Sr., 83, longtime Ludowici Mayor, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Coastal Manor in Ludowici.  He was born in Meriweather County, GA and lived in Long County most of his life.  He served the city of Ludowici beginning in 1976 when elected to his first term on the city council and was currently serving his second term as mayor.  He also faithfully served as a police officer, police chief, and was water superintendent for eighteen years.  He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Howard Fuller, daughter-in-law, Carole Fuller, and brothers, John Fuller and Louis Fuller.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Jean Hinson and Mike; sons and daughter-in-law, Jim Fuller and Sheila, Mike Fuller, and Andy Fuller, all of Ludowici; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 29 at 2 PM at Faith Baptist Church in Ludowici with Rev. Terry Sellars officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in Baggs Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 28 from 5-8 PM at the Ludowici City Hall.
