Darien – Kyle Monroe Sawyer, 30, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL as a result of an accident. Born in Brunswick, he had lived in Darien all of his life. Kyle was a free spirit and had worked several jobs, however cooking at different restaurants was his passion. He was an animal lover and had rescued many over the years. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Sawyer; grandparents, Carl Land, Jr. and Reginald and Betty Sawyer.
Survivors are his mother, Dona Marie Sawyer-Turch of Darien; sister, Amanda Shields of Darien; brother and sister-in-law, Carlton and Jordan Sawyer of Darien; two nephews, Collin Sawyer and Carter Sawyer of Darien; several aunts, uncles, and cousin also survive.
Services will be held at a later date.
