Townsend – Kenneth A. Douglas, 63, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick. A lifelong resident of McIntosh County, he was an auto salesman, auto mechanic and owner of Douglas Towing and Repair. He was a volunteer firefighter for 22 years and a member of Morgan’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Douglas.
Survivors are his wife, Vicky D. Douglas of Townsend; daughters, Bridget Hogan and Michael of Townsend and Tina Douglas and Joshua Rowe of Cannon Bluff; mother, Pearl Douglas of Cannon Bluff; brothers, Tommy Douglas and Mark Douglas of Cannon Bluff; 2 grandchildren, Avery Grayson Rowe and Dewey Hogan, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 6 at 11 AM at Morgan’s Chapel UMC with Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery in McIntosh County.
Active pallbearers will be Tony O’Neal, Frankie O’Neal, Michael Hogan, Sam Clark, Richard Perry, Josh Rowe, Noah Douglas, and Henry Baker.
Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Home of Ludowici.
