Joyce D. Crews

Ludowici – Joyce Delaine Crews, 69, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019.  Born in 1950 in Talladega, AL, she spent most of her adult life in Jesup until moving to Ludowici in 2017.  She worked in a career she truly loved for more than thirty years as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital, mostly in the emergency room.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with family.  She was a great cook and talented crafter, but was truly the best at being “Bubbie” to her beloved granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Luther Barker and Ruby Joyce Hendricks.

Survivors are her children, John Brandon (Sue) Crews and Janice Amanda Crews of Ludowici, and Jared Matthew Crews of Folkston; beloved granddaughter, Questa Mira Crews of Ludowici; sisters, Rita Williams and husband Johnny, and Lori Barker of Tallahassee, FL; nephew, Clint Williams of Tallahassee; niece, Catie Lewis of Great Falls, MT.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 24 from 6-8 PM at Howard Funeral Home in Ludowici.
