Townsend – Jerry Wayne Rowe, Sr., 47, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019. Born in Jesup, he had lived in McIntosh County all of his life and was a former employee of Brunswick Pulp & Paper where he had worked in the bleach plant. He was a mechanic and former owner of J.J.’s Truck and Auto in Darien. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, time spent on the river, and camping. He was a dedicated family man and enjoyed time spent with them.
Survivors are his daughter, Marah Rowe of Townsend; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry W. Rowe, Jr. and Crista of Townsend; parents, Linda Roberson and Donny, Sr. of Darien and Wayne Rowe and Shelly of Townsend; sister and brother-in-law, Missy Amerson and Gregg of Darien; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred Rowe and Erica of Townsend and Donny Roberson, II and Kayse of Darien; step-siblings, Tracy Conaway, Michelle Blount of Darien, and David Harper of Brunswick several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 8 at 7 PM at Howard Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.
