Ludowici – James Devonte’ Briscoe, 18, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 5, 2018 at his home. Born in Hinesville, he had lived in Ludowici all of his life. He was a senior at Long County High School where he was preparing to pursue a vocation in welding. He was an avid gamer who had a huge heart and was a loving son and friend to many. He was preceded by his best friend and K9 companion, Yankee.
Survivors are his mother, Michelle McCoy of Ludowici; father, James Briscoe of Kentucky; sisters and brother, Alyssa Briscoe, Amanda Mella and Cameron Briscoe of KY; uncle and aunt, Sandy and Teresa Goff of Lugoff, SC and aunt, “Mickey” Evans of Texas; “adopted” grandparents, Freddie and Janis Goode of Ludowici; also numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9 at 6 PM at Ludowici First Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Rentz officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM at the church.
The family will gather at the Goode residence at 52 Oak St. NW, Ludowici.
