Idell Rozier

Townsend – Idell Young Rozier, 80, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the SGHS Brunswick Campus.  She was a native and lifelong resident of McIntosh County and a homemaker.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of Darien Church of God.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Rozier.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and Brian Thornton of Townsend and Barbara and Ty Poppell of Darien; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Teri Rozier of Hortense and Gordon and Sherbia Rozier of Darien; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 9 at 2 PM at Darien Church of God with Rev. Tommy Whaley and Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Plum Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday January 8 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Eric Rozier, James Rozier, Mack Hursey, Gordon Rozier, Kenny Rozier, Brian Thornton, Rodney Wilhoit, and Christopher Hutcheson.

Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Sears Manor Nursing Home and members of Darien Church of God.
