Riceboro – Ida L. Davis, 83, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Dublin, she had lived in Liberty County over 40 years. She was a homemaker and was known as a great cook who was loved by many. She attended Solomon Church until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Davis and children, Ethel Lee Met and Robert Lee Warren.
Survivors are her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Dixon of Colorado Springs, CO; son, William Gardner of Riceboro; sisters, Dinah Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Mazie Alvin of Brunswick; brothers, Junior Green of Tampa, Ronnie Lee Green of Soperton, Sammie Lee Green of Vidalia, Henry Lee Green of Dublin, Ulyse Green of Tennessee, and Michael Green of Riceboro; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 8 at 2 PM at the Howard Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Abel Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the First Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.
