Harlan M. Burchfield

Ludowici – Harlan M. Burchfield, 74, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton.  The native of Rome, GA had lived previously in Hinesville, moving to Long County sixteen years ago.  He was retired from the construction industry and enjoyed music, playing the guitar and singing at church.  He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Long County.

Survivors are his wife of fifty-four years, Sue Ann Burchfield of Ludowici; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Collins and Ron of Hinesville; son, Andrew Burchfield of Ludowici; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Long and Rev. Tim Parrish officiating. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.

Burial will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
