Jesup – Glynn L. Stephens, 71, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his home under the care of his family and Georgia Hospice Care. He was born in Brunswick, had lived in Florida a short time, but most of his life in Jesup. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and a jack of all trades. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and was Baptist by faith.
Survivors are his wife, Glenda Stephens of Jesup; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda Starkey and Bobby of Silver Springs, FL, Gretta Vance and Stan of Stockton, and Shelly Bennett and John of Clearwater, FL; son, Glenn “Lee” Stephens, Jr. of Jesup; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Mason and Freddie, Marilyn Hewitt and Jimmy, Carol Smith and Greg, Kathy Goff and Eddie, Darlene Brown and Paul, and Penny Ray and Junior, all of Jesup; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie Stephens and Barbara, of Jesup, Pete Stephens and Dorothy of Augusta, and Harold Stephens and Yongroe of Alaska; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 17 at 3 PM at Ritch Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Denny Waters officiating. Family will receives visitors at the cemetery.
