George Parker Obituary

Ludowici – George H. “Harry George” Parker, 71, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Harborview Pierce in Blackshear.  Born in Jesup, he had lived in Long County most of his life and was a retired over the road truck driver after 37 years of service.  He was a US army veteran having served two tours in Vietnam.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Parker and parents, Treutlen Parker and Pauline Mills Parker.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Amy Elizabeth Odum and John of Ludowici; granddaughter, Kaitlyn McComas of Hinesville; grandson, Jonathon Tighe of Baxley; great-granddaughter, Ellie McComas of Hinesville; aunt and uncle, Barbara Parker Moody and Jerrell of Ludowici.  Numerous cousins also survive.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 3 at 2 PM at A New Beginning Church with Rev. Tom Gardner officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Private burial will be in Jones Creek Cemetery.
