Elton Amerson Obituary

Darien – Elton Amerson, 70, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. He was born in Darien and lived there most of his life, moving from California several years ago. He was a carpenter and a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Marioum Amerson, and brothers, Jimmy, Harold, and Carlton Amerson.

Survivors are his daughters, Christy Amerson of Darien and Danette Amerson of Hawthorne, CA; sisters, Ruby White, Bonnie Dorminey, and Wynette Amerson all of Darien and Johnnie Mabe of Duluth; brothers, Harvey Amerson and Alfred Amerson of Woodbine, Mel Amerson of Darien, and Kennon Amerson of Saint Simons Island; grandchildren, Justin Bond and Andrew Cone; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Bond, and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Elton’s wishes, no services are to be held.
