Elaine Gibbs

Ludowici – Elaine “Shotgun” Gibbs, 74, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019.  She was born in Ludowici and had lived there most of her life.  She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and sometimes was known, especially to her grandchildren, as “Grumpy”.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ludowici and preceded in death by her parents, John “T” and Iona Gibbs as well as several siblings.

Survivors are her children, Christina of Midway, Lance and wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, FL and Clifton of Midway; sister, Alice Browning of Lumber City; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Andrea, Taylor, Skyla, Alex, Brody, and Joseph; four great-grandchildren, Robbie, James, Asher, and Ava; several nieces, nephews, and close devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5 at 3 PM in the chapel of Howard Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Pusser officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.

Burial will follow in Baggs Cemetery.
