Donny Roberson

Darien – Donny L. Roberson, Sr., 68, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at his home lovingly surrounded by his family. He was born in Ludowici but lived most of his life in McIntosh County. He was a general contractor and master carpenter. Deservingly so, he was known by many as “Boss”. He was mainly a residential builder known for being a perfectionist, building custom homes that he prided himself for solid, high quality. He and his wife were “homesteaders”; raising livestock, growing organic gardens on their property, and spent countless hours of front porch sitting. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles, especially in the mountains. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry W. Rowe, Sr. and grandson, Jacob Bolin.
 

Survivors are his wife, Linda D. Roberson of Darien; children and their spouses, Donny L. Roberson, II and Cassandra of Darien, Michelle R. Blount and Arlon, Tracy Conaway and Carl of Townsend, and Missy Amerson and Gregg of Darien; sister, Ruth Ann Morris of Ludowici; brother, Larry Roberson and Laura of Franklin, TN; sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 

The family would like to recognize Michelle with GHC for the care that she provided for Donny and the family.
 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12 at 11 AM at Darien Church of God with Rev. Danny Stilwell and Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.
 

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
 

Private burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
