Ludowici – Clayton Lamar Harris, 41, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home under the care of his family and Georgia Hospice Care. He was born in Savannah and had lived in Pooler, but in Long County most of his life. He had been employed with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah for 20 years and was an engineer at the time of his death. He was an avid hunter, golfer and sports enthusiast and a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife, Jami Adams Harris; son and favorite caregiver, Zachary Harris; parents, Stanley and Joyce Harris, all of Ludowici; brother and sister-in-law, Kerry and Shannon Harris of Guyton; paternal grandmother, Ellen Harris of Ludowici; in-laws, Marty and Casey Adams of Ludowici; nephew and nieces, Daulton, Connar, and Kayla, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be Monday, September 24 from 5-8 PM at Gum Branch Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25 at 11 AM at Gum Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Gabe Gill and Dr. Paul Weldon officiating.
Burial will follow in Rye Patch Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Anthony Moody, Gary DeLoach, Jr., Winn Dunham, Dale Horne, Glenn Yeomans, Grant DeLoach, Robbie Skipper, and Chip Brinkley.
