Janice Morris

Ludowici – Janice Yvonne Morris, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.  Born in Sylva, NC, she grew up in South Florida before traveling with her husband during his military career, settling in Southeast Georgia in 1989, and in Long County in 1996.  She was a licensed real estate agent and broker but worked mostly as a title abstractor and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed cruises, the beach, and traveling, but mostly spending time with her family and fur babies.  She was a member of Elim Baptist Church and was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Marie, parents, Joel and Madeline Woodard, and brother, Rusty Woodard.

Survivors are her husband, Dave Morris of Ludowici; daughter, Amy Sanders (Jason) of Hinesville; son, Tommy Shane Morton of Douglas; sister, Kathy Shealy (Carl) of Brevard, NC; brothers, Elmer Woodard (Terri) of Omaha, NE, and Mike Woodard of Brevard, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 23 at 11 AM at Elim Baptist Church with Rev. Austin Burgess and Rev. Greg Bentley officiating. 

Visitation will be on Friday, March 22 from 6-8 PM at the church.

Interment will be Monday, March 25 at 10 AM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
